10 Things To Do On a Chilly Cape Town Day

With the cold creeping up on us and not being able to do all our favorite outdoor activities that Cape Town has to offer We have compiled a list of things to do to beat the winter blues…

1. Watch the Sunset from the Silo Hotel

It is a known fact that during the colder months in Cape Town you can witness the most breathtaking sunsets the city has to offer although it can be too cold to step outside and watch it. Do yourself a favour and grab a glass of red wine at Silo’s beautifully decorated Willaston Bar. Sit back, relax and watch nature’s specatle unfold itself while staying warm.

2.  Catch a Movie at the Labia Theatre

Go back in time and catch at the Labia theatre which is South Africa’s oldest independant art-repertory movie cinema. It opened it’s doors on May 16th 1949 and not much of the decor has changed since.

3. Watch the Moody Ocean from the Brass Bell in Kalk Bay

Take a drive down to Kalk Bay and watch the erratic waves through the Brass Bell Restaurant and Bar’s large windows.

6.  Mojo Market

This indoor market located in trendy Sea Point is a favorite amongst the locals in Cape Town. You have so many great choices in food, clothings stalls, bars, art, jewelry and even flowers!! Not to mention that there are live bands perfoming every day.

Cape Town has become home to so many Art Galleries like the classic IZIKO National Art Gallery in cape Town and the New trendy Zeitz MOCAA so why not spend a day checking out Art and different exhibitions.

If you’re feeling creative, head down to the Clay Cafe in Hout Bay. You can choose a clay object which you would like to paint from their large variety while sipping a delicious hot chocolate or while you have lunch and collect your work of art a few days later when it has been glazed and fired.
